Rapture is a four metre tall figurative sculpture in bronze situated on the corner of Charlotte and Market Streets in the Brisbane CBD.
Commissioned by the Brisbane City Council, and completed in 2017, the sculpture depicts two attenuated figures connecting at the heads in a dynamic vertical cantilever.
Both figures form arcs, one in descent while the other rise to meet it.
The title Rapture suggests the uplifting potential that is human connectivity, a potential implicit in a modern city.
